Web design for businesses
from Annan to Stranraer
The region is 2,500 square miles and we cover all of it. Family-run shops in Castle Douglas, farms in the Stewartry, installers in Lockerbie, and businesses out at the Stranraer end who are used to being an afterthought.
A local agency, not a Glasgow studio with a Dumfries postcode.
Most Scottish web agencies are based in the Central Belt. They will quote you for a project in Dumfries & Galloway, but they have never walked the High Street, never sat in traffic on the A75, and do not know why your customers in Annan behave differently to your customers in Newton Stewart.
We do. Digital Copper has been building websites for businesses in this region since 2014. We know the broadband drops out, that a farmer in the Glenkens will not fill in a nine-field form on a phone with one bar of signal, and that someone in Castle Douglas searching "near me" will happily drive the eighteen miles to Dumfries — because round here, eighteen miles is nothing.
Local clients
Local business websites we have built and manage across Dumfries & Galloway.
Dumfries · Renewable energy
Fusion Renewables
Solar, batteries and EV chargers, sold to homes, farms and businesses across Dumfries, Lockerbie and Stranraer. Three products, three towns, three different buyers — so the site is built around each one instead of one page that mentions everything.
Dumfries · Counselling
Holding Counselling
A sole practitioner in Dumfries. Fast, accessible, and built around the words people actually type when they need help — anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity — so the right people find her rather than the most people.
Dumfries · Chauffeur service
PTDL Prestige
Airport runs and executive travel out of Dumfries. Every competitor hid their prices and made you ring for a quote, so we did the opposite — see the price, book it online, done.
Dumfries · Agricultural services
Concrete Grooving
Works out of Dumfries. The customers are farms in Dumfriesshire, Cumbria and Ayrshire, so the site had to make sense in all three without pretending to be round the corner from any of them.
Dumfries · Florist
PJ's Petals
A working florist studio at Bourock Barn. Her old template site made her look like a relay service. After the rebuild she went from roughly one wedding enquiry a month to one a week.
Gym & fitness
Elev8 Athletics
Bookings, payments and door entry wearing a website. Built to take a fortnightly pile of admin off the owner's evenings, so the gym runs itself while he is on the floor coaching.
Scotland · E-commerce
Bunnet
Performance caps and beanies, made in Scotland. A Shopify launch where the work was getting the essentials right — products, checkout, payments — before the first customer arrived, rather than adding things nobody asked for.
How we work locally
You can meet us in person. That is rare and we think it matters.
We come to you
For projects in D&G, we will come to your premises. Sitting in your shop, your workshop, your office tells us more in an hour than a Zoom call does in a week.
UK hosting, UK support
Your site is hosted on UK servers. Your data stays in the UK. If something goes wrong on a Friday afternoon, the person fixing it is in Dumfries, not in another timezone.
Found by people nearby
We set your Google Business Profile up properly and write the site around the words your customers actually type. Those words are rarely the ones somebody in Glasgow would guess at.
Fully managed
You will never have to log in and wrestle with a page builder. Updates, security, backups, wording changes — we do all of it. You run the business.
Town by town
Your customers do not search the way a marketing plan says they will.
We are based in Dumfries, but a website built for Dumfries is not a website built for Stranraer. The towns behave differently, and a site that ignores that reads as though it was written somewhere else — because it usually was.
Annan
Sixteen miles east and closer to Carlisle than to us. Half the businesses here are competing for English customers as well as Scottish ones, which changes what the site has to say on the first screen.
Castle Douglas
A food town with a street full of independents. The websites that work here look like the shop looks — not like a chain trying to seem local.
Stranraer
Seventy-five miles west of us, and used to being left off the list. If your customers are coming off the Cairnryan ferries, the site needs to load on a bad signal and answer one question fast.
Lockerbie
Haulage, agriculture and everything the A74(M) brings with it. Plenty of businesses here sell UK-wide and only need the local angle for hiring.
Newton Stewart
The gateway to the Galloway Forest, so a lot of trade is seasonal and visitor-led. The site has to work for someone planning in March and someone deciding in the car park.
Kirkcudbright
The artists' town. Galleries, studios and makers who need the work to be the thing you see first, and everything else to get out of the way.
Moffat
Tourism, hospitality and upland farming in the same high street. Bookings usually matter more than brochures, and the booking has to survive a phone.
Predictable Business Outcomes.

Charlotte Murray
Elev8 AthleticsI honestly can’t praise this company enough for the service we received. From start to finish, he went above and beyond what I expected. Really took the time to understand my business and what I was trying to achieve, instead of just rushing through a standard template. His attention to detail was next level. Any time I had a question or wanted a small adjustment, he handled it quickly and professionally. If you’re looking for a local web designer who truly cares about quality and results, I’d recommend him without hesitation.

Head TeacherWe had Adam completely design a new website for us and we are over the moon with what he has produced. We are a small team running a charity in Dumfries and Galloway called Parents Inclusion Network and we felt included and supported throughout the website build and now in the maintenance. Its such a valuable resource to the charity and we are so glad we have Adam as our website partner. The value for money is excellent and customer service is outstanding!

Questions local businesses ask us
Do you work with businesses across all of Dumfries & Galloway?
Yes — Dumfries, Annan, Castle Douglas, Stranraer, Lockerbie, Newton Stewart and everywhere in between. We're based in Dumfries, so most of our clients are within an hour of us, and we're happy to come to you.
Can we actually meet in person?
Of course. That's half the point of working with a local agency — a cup of tea and a chat beats a video call with a studio 300 miles away. We'll meet before the project, during it, and whenever something needs talking through afterwards.
What does a website cost from a Dumfries agency?
Our foundation websites are £1,700 to build plus £45 a month, fully managed — hosting, updates and support included. If you want the site working harder at getting found, that is usually around £3,500 plus £89 a month. You'll know the full cost before we start.
How long does a website take to build?
It depends on what the website has to do — a five-page local site is a different job from a booking system. What we promise is an honest timeline before we start, and no disappearing acts during the build. You'll know where things stand every week.
