Nicola is a COSCA-registered pluralistic counsellor based in Dumfries. She provides a vital service: affordable, highly inclusive, and judgment-free therapy for people dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is passionate about ensuring everyone has access to support, offering reduced rates for those facing financial hardship.
Taking the first step to book therapy is incredibly daunting. A cold, clinical, or confusing website can easily cause a vulnerable person to click away instead of asking for help.
Nicola's digital presence needed to feel as safe, warm, and welcoming as her actual therapy room. It had to clearly communicate her inclusive approach—showing clients that they wouldn't be judged or put in a box. Furthermore, as a solo practitioner, she needed a fully managed Foundation website so she wouldn't have to stress about technical updates or Google rankings between her sessions.
Applying The Copper Method
01. The Honest Health Check (Audit)
We reviewed the local therapy market and found that many sites felt cold, clinical, or hid their pricing. We realised Nicola's biggest commercial strength was her empathy and inclusivity. We decided to make her site the exact opposite of the industry standard: warm, entirely transparent, and openly affirming of all identities.
02. The Strategic Blueprint (Plan)
We designed a simple '3-Step' user journey to remove the intimidation of booking. By placing her 'Free 20-Minute Chat' and clear pricing structure front and center, we allowed potential clients to feel safe and informed before they ever had to pick up the phone.
03. The Build (Build)
We built a lightning-fast, highly accessible website. We carefully structured the content to speak directly to specific struggles—like anxiety, trauma, and neurodiversity—ensuring that when people search for help in Dumfries, they find a page that speaks directly to their lived experience.
04. The Ongoing Partnership (Manage)
As a Foundation Package client, Nicola's website is fully managed. We continuously monitor her site's security, speed, and Google Search performance. If she needs to add a new service or update her hours, she just sends an email, and we handle it—giving her the freedom to focus on changing lives.
